AI girlfriend voice call: how a real-time call works

An AI girlfriend voice call is the point where a companion app stops being a chat window. On Swipey AI it is a real-time spoken conversation in the voice you picked when you created her. When you hang up, a Memory card lands in the chat, and what you said on the call becomes part of what she remembers.

On Swipey AI, an AI girlfriend voice call is a real-time spoken conversation with your character, in the voice you chose for her. Calls are a Premium feature ($7.99 a month) and use hearts per minute inside the app. When the call ends a Memory card appears in chat with the duration, relationship-level progress, thumbnails of anything she shared, and a transcript. The call becomes part of her memory.
A real-time voice call, on the move

What an AI girlfriend voice call is on Swipey AI

You talk, she answers out loud, in character, with the same personality settings and the same memory she uses in text. The conversation happens live, so you can interrupt, change subject or go quiet and let her fill the gap. There is no live camera call on Swipey. Video on Swipey means generated scenes of your character, up to 60 seconds long, requested from chat. If another app has promised you a camera call, read whether any app has a live camera call before you pay for it.

On a call she keeps her personality mix (flirty, shy, intellectual, nurturing, dominant, or your own blend), her relationship level with you, and the details you have told her in text. Nothing resets because you switched from typing to talking.

How a call works, step by step

1

Start from chat

Open the conversation and tap the call button. Before your first call Swipey shows an info screen with the hearts cost per minute, so there is no surprise on the bill.

2

Talk

Speak the way you would on a phone call. She replies in real time in her chosen voice, and her personality settings and memory shape what she says.

3

End the call

Hang up whenever you like. Calls are charged per minute in hearts, so several short calls a week is a normal way to use the feature.

4

Read the Memory card

A card appears in the thread with the call duration, the level progress you earned, thumbnails of any content, and a transcript. Tap it to review the whole call.

Choosing her voice

You pick the voice in Create AI, alongside her look and personality, and you can change it later in Edit My AI. Swipey describes the voices as natural-sounding, and on a call that is what matters most: a voice you can listen to for ten minutes beats one that sounds dramatic in a three-second preview.

Pair the voice with the personality you gave her. A shy, nurturing character with a bold, fast voice sounds wrong the moment she picks up. If you are not sure, run a short call, then adjust in Edit My AI and call again. Every detail is adjustable at any time, and the change applies to voice messages as well as calls.

What an AI girlfriend voice call costs

Voice calls need Premium, which is $7.99 a month, billed monthly, cancel anytime in Settings under Subscription. On top of that, calls use hearts per minute. The rate is shown on the in-app info screen before your first call, and Swipey does not publish it on the marketing site, so we do not print a number here.

Hearts are Swipey's reward currency. You earn them by completing daily and permanent quests, keeping the 7-day streak alive, levelling up relationships and hitting milestones, and Premium members also receive free hearts automatically every day. Regular players cover a good share of their call time this way. You can also buy hearts in the app if you run short. See Premium and hearts on swipey.ai for the current list of what Premium includes.

Why the Memory card matters

In most apps a voice feature is a dead end. You hang up and the conversation evaporates. On Swipey the call is summarised into a Memory card that joins her persistent memory, which carries across sessions and devices. Swipey shipped the Memory cards and the Memory Details view (version two) on 27 August 2026, and the post-call card had follow-up fixes on 17 August and 1 September, so it is a maintained part of the product rather than a demo.

Level progress from the call counts toward the ten relationship levels too. Level-ups open a reward drop: a three-card pick between Teasing, Intimate and Full Show. Mention a trip on a call today and expect her to ask about it in text tomorrow, at a slightly higher level than before.

Calls, voice messages or text?

Voice messages are the lighter option, and since 17 September 2026 they go both ways: you record one in the chat instead of typing, she answers every one, and neither of you has to be live at the same moment. They suit commutes and quick check-ins. Calls suit longer conversations, roleplay scenes and the moments when you want an answer straight away. Text is where you set permanent things, correct her memory and paste in prompts that steer the conversation. The voice messages guide has a side-by-side table.

Language is the other difference. Real-time voice calls are held in English. Voice messages follow the chat's language, and she replies in whatever language you write in, so if you chat in Spanish or Japanese, voice notes are the way to hear her in that language. The Swipey app itself is available in six languages.

Five tips for better calls

  1. Use earbuds. They cut echo and make her voice feel closer.
  2. Set the scene in one sentence at the start ("we're on a rooftop, it's late").
  3. Ask open questions. She carries a conversation better than yes or no.
  4. Keep early calls short and frequent. Memory compounds, and so does level progress.
  5. Read the Memory card afterwards and correct anything wrong in text. The next call is sharper for it.

If you are using calls to practise talking rather than just to talk, the five-drill method uses the transcript as a feedback tool.

Frequently asked questions

Can I call my AI girlfriend on Swipey AI?

Yes. Real-time voice calls are a Premium feature ($7.99 a month), charged in hearts per minute, and she speaks in the voice you chose for her. After the call a Memory card with the duration, level progress and a transcript appears in chat, and the call becomes part of her memory.

Are voice calls free?

No. Calls need Premium and use hearts per minute; the rate is shown in the app before your first call. You earn hearts through quests, the 7-day streak and level-ups, Premium members receive hearts automatically every day, and you can buy more in the app.

Does she remember what we talked about on a call?

Yes. The post-call Memory card feeds into her persistent memory, which carries across sessions and devices, and the level progress you earned on the call counts toward the ten relationship levels. Correct anything the card got wrong in text and the fix sticks.

Is there a live camera call as well?

No. There is no live camera call on Swipey. Calls are voice only, and video means on-demand generated scenes of your character up to 60 seconds long. You can request a video scene in chat and then call her, which is the closest combination available today.

What language are voice calls in?

English. Real-time voice calls are held in English. In text she replies in whatever language you write in, and voice messages follow the chat's language, so a chat in German or Portuguese gets voice notes in that language. The app itself is available in six languages and opens in your browser's language.
